چکیده
The present investigation was carried out with 24 rice genotypes including both indigenous and exotic collections/varieties/lines under normal transplanted condition in submerged observation for various morphophysiological, quantitative qualitative traits by using randomized block design at the Research Farm of ‘Tirhut College Agriculture, Dholi, Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, during Kharif season 2019. All grouped into 3 clusters D2 statistics. Intra cluster distance most case Cluster II while highest inter detected between III II. contains maximum yield attributing so it can be used hybridization programme above-mentioned traits. Crop Growth Rate 30DAS showed contribution towards total divergence minimum exhibited Number Fertile Spikelet.

Genetic Divergence in Deepwater Rice Genotypes
The nature and the magnitude of genetic divergence was estimated in 35 deepwater rice genotypes using Mahalonobis’s D2 – statistics. The genotypes were grouped onto 10 clusters showing fair degree of relationship between geographic distribution and genetic divergence. Cluster IV showed maximum intra cluster divergence while inter cluster divergence was maximum between clusters IX and X. All the...
متن کاملGenetic Diversity of Drought Tolerant Upland Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Genotypes
Genetic divergence of thirty three drought tolerant rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes were studied through Mohalanobis’s D and principal component analysis for twelve characters. The genotypes were grouped into seven clusters. The cluster I and II were comprised of the maximum number of genotypes (eight) in each followed by cluster V containing five genotypes. The highest inter-cluster distance ...
متن کاملAn analysis of genetic variation and divergence in Indian tropical polyvoltine silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) genotypes
The genetic variation and diversity among fifty-eight polyvoltine silkworm genotypes was estimated by using ten economic traits. The results revealed that the single shell weight showed higher genetic variation such as PCV% (17.20%), GCV% (12.93%), and heritability (56.5%) followed by single cocoon weight, shell ratio and matured larval weight. The D2 (Mahalonobis? distance) statistics reveal...
متن کاملGas film retention and underwater photosynthesis during field submergence of four contrasting rice genotypes
Floods can completely submerge some rice (Oryza sativa L.) fields. Leaves of rice have gas films that aid O2 and CO2 exchange under water. The present study explored the relationship between gas film persistence and underwater net photosynthesis (PN) as influenced by genotype and submergence duration. Four contrasting genotypes (FR13A, IR42, Swarna, and Swarna-Sub1) were submerged for 13 days i...
متن کاملPhysiological Changes Associated with Submergence Tolerance in Genetically Diverse Lowland Rice Genotypes
Rainfed lowland rice ecosystem is affected not only by water deficit but also by excess water leading from partial to complete submergence. Although the rice plant is well adapted to aquatic environment, it is unable to survive if completely submerged in water for several weeks. Damage to rice plants due to excess water has been advocated to occur during submergence and also on entry of oxygen ...
